Behrangi Awarded UA Distinguished Scholar

Congratulations to Ali Behrangi, a member of EDO’s executive committee and the department of hydrology and atmospheric sciences, who has received a well deserved Distinguished Scholar Award from the University of Arizona. The award recognizes “outstanding mid-career faculty who are both leading experts in their fields and highly valued contributors to the teaching, research, and outreach missions of the University of Arizona. The designation of Distinguished Scholar honors faculty whose research, scholarship, and/or creative contributions promise to catapult their disciplines to new levels of innovation.” Candidates are nominated by their colleagues and reviewed and selected by university committees.  Recipients receive a one-time allocation of $10,000 in university funds to support their research. This and other faculty awards were announced by Provost Liesl Folks.
