EDO combines the University’s strengths in space exploration, instrumentation, and Earth Sciences to tackle global challenges related to understanding the Earth System with new missions and instruments needed to promote the discovery, monitoring, and prediction of change in our dynamic environment. This includes observations from space or sub-orbital platforms as well as integration of such data with ground-based studies and/or modeling for holistic studies that advance the state-of-the-art.
The purpose of the EDO Workshop 2025 is to bring together colleagues across campus with overlapping interests, develop collaborative opportunities, and explore how EDO can provide support and possibly seed funding for new projects with potential to further our goals.
The objectives of this workshop are to:
- Provide an opportunity for sharing your current or proposed EDO-relevant research in the form of flash talks (~5 minutes each person/group).
- Identify ideas that can potentially grow to large scale, long-term remote sensing missions, instrumentation or other projects that align with our mission.
- Create opportunities for collaborations with those interested in working alongside current or future EDO projects to support its mission and vision. (discussions)
If you are interested, please RSVP before January 10th, 2025 (headcounts are needed for workshop planning and ordering food).
We have a space limit of 30 people, so get your registration in soon.
If you cannot make the workshop but are interested in EDO, subscribe to our mailing list.
